Hardwell Previews His Edit Of BlasterJaxx’s “Fifteen”
The track that has been rocking Hardwell‘s sets since June now has an official name and home. While known for a while to be a creation from the Dutch duo, BlasterJaxx, it turns out the officially released version of “Fifteen” will be Hardwell‘s edit. Hardwell has been playing out this banger on some of the biggest stages of the world together with the acappella from OneRepublic‘s “If I Lose Myself”. The track has even received support from Afrojack, David Guetta, and Nicky Romero during their landmark, B2B2B set at Tomorrowland this year.
The track begins with a set of high-octane chords, which immediately sets the mood for the whole song. After two repetitions of the chord sequence, percussion and bass are added. The buildup begins with a filtered version of the chord sequence, combined with the familiar house music snare roll. Right before the track drops, we’re treated to the sample that gives the track it’s name: “Drop fifteen in the EDM scene”. From there, the track drops into a wild, pounding, and bass-driven drop sequence that only Hardwell and the BlasterJaxx could put together.
Mark your calendars for September 9, as that will be the day that “Fifteen” will be released on Beatport. For now, enjoy the preview!
