Remixes Of Ferrer’s ‘Mind Ur Step’ Out On Objektivity
Three different mixes of ‘Mind Ur Step’ are included on this release. One by Ferrer himself, one by Nick Curly, and one by Andre Hommen. Each track is a blend of tech/deep house and all are well produced pieces of dance music.
The DF dub has deep bass lines over off-beat percussion, dropping into a low break with thick bass and affected cymbals. It’s a bit trippy, but it grooves well and is an interesting take on the original. Curly takes the original and cools it off a little bit. Still focusing heavily on the vocals, it adds nice dissonant chords and a bit more of a melodic presence and it plays really well with different kinds of synths and bass combinations. Finally, Hommen’s remix has that classic sound of house from an older time. The reverb and bass heavy synths hover over the track and add a lot of power to the vocals and the music as a whole.
