Joyce Muniz Drops ‘Please Break My Heart’ On Exploited
Joyce Muniz has made some very interesting music in the past, and her new release ‘Please Break My Heart’ is a great example of how deep house can be imagined in many different ways.
The leading track, titled after the album, is simplistic, but has some incredibly nice synth stylings as well as some great vocals. I also really enjoyed the arpeggiating synths overtop the chords. The track is very melodic in the best way and is absolutely top notch production. Second is the ‘Joyce Muniz Deep Underground Mix’ of the title track which does exactly as the title says. The track is deep, dark, and very mellow. However, once again and in its own way, Muniz uses synths incredibly well to add whole other wonderful elements to it. El Paseo is a funky, tech-like track that speed up the pace a good amount in the release. The track changes colors constantly and Muniz crafts an incredibly melodic and fun track in a very simplistic way. Finally, ‘It’s Your Life’ closes out the release with dissonant but funky chords over a driving drum beat, and heavy bass line.
Each track is unique, wonderfully crafted, and all-around great music. Check it out and also, for the producers out there, definitely give these a real listen.
