Wankelmut’s “My Head Is A Jungle – Part 3” Out On Poesie Musik
“My Head Is A Jungle – Part 3” is a small release, featuring only two remixes of the original track, both done by the American producer MK. MK hails from the house capital that is/was detroit and he really brings the classic house sound to the tracks.
His first remix is melodic, filled with piano chordal stabs, a classic detroit house beat, and Emma Louise’s vocals over a groovy breakdown. It’s uplifting, and could be a great middle of the set track at a club to bring the energy up. It’s very catchy and incredibly well done. His second, the “Trouble Dub”, isn’t all that different. It’s still a great track, just with a bit of variation in the breakdowns and some of the vocal overdubs. It also has the really great bass line that was underneath the breaks in the front of the mix a bit more.
This is a great release and is a must-buy for any house fan. Definitely give this a listen.
