Hardwell + W&W Reveal Their Collaboration “Jumper” | Out August 5 On Revealed Recordings
For the past 4 months, a great deal of suspense has been building around one of the biggest ID tracks of 2013. Right after Showtek & Justin Prime‘s “Cannonball,” and collaborator W&W‘s bootleg of “Clarity,” Hardwell unveiled another one of his secret projects on the biggest stage possible: UMF Miami. Since that night, we only knew two things about that track for sure: first of all, it was HUGE, and second of all it had to be a Hardwell track. as the months pass, we discovered it was a collaboration between Hardwell and and trance-turned-house duo W&W. It was just last week we learned the track’s official name: “Jumper”. Over time, “Jumper” has received support from names like Chuckie, Showtek, Bingo Players, and many more.
The track begins soft and subtle chord play that has become prominent in the production style of both artists. But you wouldn’t expect these two artists to stay soft for too long, and that’s exactly what happens. The sound of the chords transforms into the loud, energetic, festival-pumping sound that listeners crave. Then, the track breaks down, marking the beginning of the build. Snares begin to intensify the build, and the climax draws closer. The build suddenly stops, and the combination of cowbell hits and Hardwell himself screaming “1 2 3 JUMP!” thrusts you into a wild electro drop which we can finally put an official name on.
August 5 is set to be a big day for releases, and just became bigger: “Jumper” will drop on Revealed Recordings that same day. Until then, you can crank up that preview, or just listen to any Hardwell liveset published between now and UMF!
