10 Questions With Sick Individuals
The Dutch boys from Sick Individuals are gaining more and more buzz at the moment. With several huge remixes and originals, they’re slowly taking over the scene and making name. They slowly came up during the years and collected a steady amount of fans and releases now.
But who are the people behind the Sick Individuals, when did they start and what are their dreams? We asked the questions and managed to found out a bit more behind these successful producers. Sit back and enjoy the interview!
1. What would be the best way to introduce you to new fans?
We are the Sick Individuals, a DJ duo from the Netherlands, started as producers 3 years ago and we’ve gained a lot of experience in this scene. We love to make music and share our creativity with everyone who loves to have a good time !!
2. How did you decide to call yourself Sick Individuals?
Back in the day when we started out with producing music people said that our beats and drops were sick.
So in the year 2010 two individuals became the SICK INDIVIDUALS.
3. During the years you kept on working on your status, do you prefer to come up this way, or have a immediate hit and fame right from the start?
For us there is no other way than this way, we want to do it with our creativity throughout the whole process, everything you see about us has been crossed our minds. We are really happy with the status we’ve gained by releasing tracks that have our own identity and when we are on stage, having a crazy time with the crowd is something we’ve learned from a lot.
4. Your name is Sick Individuals, but who of you is the best producer? And the best dj?
Don’t think there is a better DJ or producer within Sick Individuals, we both compliment each other on all kind of levels, of course we have different interests but we try to keep up to date and teach each other tricks and things we come up with.
5. Who was your big inspiration to start producing and why?
That was Fedde Le Grand, Axwell and the Bingo Players, always loved to listen and bounce on productions of these artists. Gave us a lot of inspiration to think different and try out stuff but keeping it sound fat.
6. What would be your dream collaboration and why?
Definitely Axwell for his great vision, dynamics and perfection!
7. What do you prefer, a cosy club full of people coming just for you, or a big festival?
A cosy club full of people is fantastic, especially when it’s hot, dark and people are 100 raving hard on the music, just some basic strobes and good sound system, but we don’t mind playing the big festivals ;-)
8. What would you like to do in your spare time, besides making music?
Just hanging out with our friends and family that makes our live complete, we are really working hard to make our career happen, producing, writhing and DJing takes a lot of your time so it’s great to get back and see the people you love.
9. What would be your favourite festival or event to play on?
Ultra and Tomorrowland are festivals that are special both in there own way, really love Ultra for the crowd and sound system, that was some DB’s coming out of those systems! Tomorrowland because it’s so magical and it’s really special to see so many people upon a hill partying throughout the night.
10. What can we expect from you in the future?
A lot! Touring in the US, big original releases, video’s, radio time, massive collaborations that we’re working on at the moment, a Sick party? Hell yeah, the future is gonna be great !
