Event Recap: LatinVillage Festival 30-06-2013
General Info
Sunday June 30 was the day of the 9th edition of the LatinVillage Festival. The festival, founded by Dutch producer D-Rashid, sells out every year and provides a good variation of musicstyles and dj’s. It attracts all kinds of people and is a big party every year. This year was no exception and with a lovely sun, the weather cooperated as well.
Line Up
With an almost too big amount of great names like master D-Rashid, Blasterjaxx, Oliver Twizt, Dani L Mebius, Praia Del Sol, Gregor Salto, Massivedrum, Partysquad, The Flexican, Franky Rizardo, Roul And Doors and much, much more they provided a big and varied lineup with dj’s who all add something to their set. We heard amazing Latin tracks, slamming Electro House tracks and some killing Trap music. With 6 stages and 60 dj’s, LatinVillage never got boring.
Organisation
The whole festival was organized perfectly. There was a right amount of places to eat, drink and entertain yourself. With a carousel, hammocks, a radio studio, a big match of Twister, lots of nature and friendly staff, they arranged a lot of fun for everyone. If there were problems, you could always go to one of the staffmembers and there were no big incidents at all. The medical team were always present and available at every moment. The stages looked very nice, one on an island, three in big tents and the main stage in open air. Every stage had his own strong point and it was a pleasure to be there.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere was positive and everyone was having a good time. People were partying on one of the stages, eating on one of the benches or just chilling in the grass or next to the water. The people went loose, no matter what dj was spinning his tracks. The vibe was good and several people gave high fives to others, after doing a crazy dancemove. You saw all kind of people, with all kind of ages. An old man stole the show on the mainstage with dancing like a boss and people were going nuts, just because of that man. LatinVillage is for all ages, which definitely got proven by him.
Location
As said before, LatinVillage took place in a nice green area. Partying in the nature in stead of in a big hall always adds something to your festival and so did it with LatinVillage. There were tents, in case of rain, but luckily it was not necessary to shelter there. The airplanes flying over quite often (it took place next to an airplane) also added something to the sphere. It was a big terrain and there was more than enough space for everyone to move, so even though it was sold out, there was enough space to party hard, which people definitely did as well!
Conclusion
We can definitely say that LatinVillage Festival was a great success. Take the variation of dj’s, the beautiful location, the positive vibe and the perfect organisation and you’ve defined it very well. The organisation can be very proud of themselfs and the same counts for D-Rashid, who not only played two stunning sets, but also organised the festival perfectly. Next year, the 10th edition will take place, we are definitely looking forward to it! We like to thank the organisation of the festival and we really had a blast.
