Marcus Schössow & Sebjak Reunite For “Kemi”
It’s always a great feeling when a collaborative project works out. Two guys who can definitely testify to the this are Marcus Schössow and Sebjak, whose track, “Liceu” has received over 120 plays from DJs like Tommy Trash, Fedde le Grand, and Thomas Gold. Like anything in business, if a new formula works, it should be used again, and these two Swedes were ready for round two. Migrating now from Steve Angello‘s Size Records, the duo’s newest work, “Kemi,” has been signed to the big one: Spinnin Records.
With a very different style from “Liceu,” these two producers are able to create another festival-ready vibe. The guys decided to ditch the virtual horn section, in favor of the more bass-driven sound. The track features a female vocalist, who is uncredited, but sings over a set of anthemic chords. The track builds with rolling snares, and drops into a charged, house-style drop similar to that of Dannic‘s “Clobber”. “Kemi” received its formal first play last night on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection, substitute-hosted by Danny Howard.
We’ve got no info on the release, unfortunately, but we will definitely be sure to keep you updated. Stay tuned!
