Basto! Introduces Heavy-Hitter “Dance With Me”

The 38-year-old Belgian producer/DJ, Basto!, has finally ended his uncharacteristic silence in 2013. After producing smashes like “Cloudbreaker” (with Yves V), “I Rave You” (plus it’s vocal companion “Give It To Me”), and “StormChaser,” it appeared as though the man behind these tracks had stepped away from the synths for a while. Thankfully, that hiatus is now over, as Basto! returns to the spotlight with “Dance With Me” on Spinnin Records.

The melody is similar in sound to that of “Stormchaser,” and provides a sound that also reminds me of Michael Calfan‘s famous “Resurrection”. The drop style that we are treated to is a brand new sound for Basto!, but he uses it in an extremely effective and energy-filled way. The track features a somewhat wild and tribal influenced sound, and appears to be a common theme (similar to “Welcome to the Jungle,” from Alvaro & MERCER).
