What So Not – The Quack EP

I am not entirely sure what I just heard, but I loved it. The aussie group “What So Not” has been making crazy good remixes for a while, but “The Quack EP” is their first large scale release. Their first EP came out about a year ago, on the label “Sweat It Out”, which also did the local release of “The Quack. They signed with OWSLA records for the international release, and put this two song EP out yesterday.
The EP is part one of their release, with part two obviously coming soon. These two songs are great. “The Quack” is a huge 808 banger with a great trap sounding line. “High You Are” is my favorite of the two. It leads from a echoey synth melody into a crazy electro house line. What So Not is definitely an artist to look out for, hopefully we will see them on tour now that they have gone on OWSLA. Glad to see a great duo pushing the limits of what electronic music is.
