RECAP: TIKTAK Eclectic Music Festival 19 May 2013
The name TIKTAK will be familiar to many people in the Netherlands. Beside a stage on Mysteryland they also had a very successful new years edition in Amsterdam, which turned out to be a huge party. But on the 19th of May, the festival we’ve waited for finally arrived.
Line Up
With a huge and also varied lineup, they kicked off big! Think of Carnage, Congorock, Jack Beats, Yellow Claw, Partysquad, Armand van Helden, but also some Dutch hip hop stars, like the Opposites, Kraantje Pappie & De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. With the diversity of artists, TIKTAK was quite unique in a positive way.
The Crowd
The crowd was enthusiastic throughout the whole day. Since there were 2 stages, it was just a little walk to see another artist. You could also see the waves, every round. Everyone was having a good time and was dancing like it was the last day of their lives. The artists anticipated on this well, making the party even better.
The Atmosphere
An important feature of a successful festival is a positive vibe. We can definitely say that the vibe at TIKTAK was even more than just positive. There was enough space for everyone to do their thing and there were a lot of smiling faces. Some famous Dutch visitors created some attention and might even made the festival better for some people.
Organisation
Everything was arranged well at the festival. Enough possibilities to have a drink, enough food, a big tent in case of rain. Everything was sorted out. With some nice extra features like a Ferris wheel, you could do all kinds of stuff. Very well organised.
Conclusion
Take the lineup, the crowd, the atmosphere and the organisation and you’ve got a successful festival. We’re looking forward to a possible next edition of the festival, because in our opinion, it’s worth it!
Huge party, good Line Up, enthusiastic crowd = ingredients for success
