Mysteryland Festival Release Full Program
Mysteryland has something big to celebrate and is going to do so in its own typically unique and spectacular way… August 24th 2013 will be the 20th edition of the much loved, most colourful and musically diverse festival in all of electronic music. As such, taking place on the former Floriadeterrain, near Amsterdam, the festival has carefully put together its most impressive line-up yet, drawing on names from across the musical spectrum from trap to trance to techno to ensure that all bases are covered with an eye for awesome design, big production and an awareness of key environmental issues.
Once again in 2013, Mysteryland has invited today’s most revered acts from all over the world to perform on one of the thirteen unique, purpose built stages. Chief amongst those are International stars Steve Aoki and Steve Angello who will rock the Main Stage like only they know how – what’s more, this will be the only Dutch gig the pair play all summer so it’s sure to be one to remember.
Other hand-picked acts include Fedde Le Grand, Headhunterz, Chuckie, Baauer, Tiga, Visionquest, Caspa, Dirty South, Fake Blood and Speedy J, all of whom help to showcase the diversity that has made Mysteryland one of the stand-out Dutch festivals of the year, every year… And this is just the tip of the iceberg, as 13 musical areas will be offered up at the festival this year, with something to enjoy for everyone from the coolest underground cats to the most fun party people.
In the past two decades, Mysteryland has developed itself to one of the most groundbreaking and trendsetting festivals in The Netherlands. As well as the finely curated musical offerings, so too is there much more to enjoy at the festival outside of the sounds on offer…
How about watching a movie at Nostalgia in the world’s smallest cinema? Or walking the Mysteryland Artroute (who needs a museum?). You can listen to the Silent Fanfare, and this year the festival also welcomes Shit Art, a collective of artists who will turn a toilets into objects of art. Next to that there is also Totem on a magical organic island which makes you art of the stage instead of a mere spectator. Then there is the Bollywoodbar with dance from Ish and spoken word from Poetry Circle Nowhere, all of which will help to keep you entertained no matter your mood and state of mind.
Of course, once again this year Mysteryland will create a Main Stage like only Mysteryland knows how. Next to this will be The Big Top, which was the indoor stage from last year and will be presented and hosted by Dirty Dutch, where Chuckie, Dirty South and Flosstradamus among others will perform.
The opening is hosted by Dutch duo Musclefarm, whislt at the Weiter! stage there is Kölsch and techno manHeartthrob, one of Richie Hawtin’s main men at Minus.
In the Studio 80 area you will find Canada’s Tiga, tech house legend 2000 and One, Dirty Bird’s Eats Everything and Radio 1’s DJ Heidi. Our friends from Q-Dance welcome Headhunterz, Wildstylez and Zatox, and Deniz Koyu performs at Don’t Let Daddy Know. Dubstep fans will be happy that Caspa and Cookie Monsta perform at Resist and then there’s also Electric Deluxe Presents, hosted by legendary techno DJ Speedy J with Berlin favourite Shed and O/V/R also in on the action.
This is just a brief overview of what to expect from the 20th Mysteryland so keep your eyes peeled in the coming months and, doubtless, we will see you on the right side of the stage, just by the speakers, deep in the action…
