My return to collegiate life has redirected a lot of my music searching to more top 40-friendly tracks that garner the attention of a more mainstream audience. This track popped up on my radar a while back and has received a lot of positive reviews from the people I’ve given it a showing to. While I am a fan of the original, Dotcom’s take on the Will.I.Am track is a wonderful genre blend of heavier, yet bouncy dubstep (think Crizzly), and many reggae elements. I am impressed by his construction of melody, his implementation of the chicken-scratch guitar underneath the builds, and the trap-influenced drums. Dotcom fuses wonderful elements of many genres into this absolutely epic remix of a very popular track right now. Give it a listen!
