DSCO and Fista Cuffs’ remix of Holdin’ On is an epic trap that leans more towards the electronic side of the genre rather than its rap roots. The drop is minimalistic with very spacious bass stabs and quiet synths slowly building the entire time. What I enjoy most about this track is the feeling it brings across as it progresses. The build is quiet and very subtle, but still is able to carry across a feeling of tension which doesn’t necessarily resolve at any point. It makes you feel like you’re in conflict with the song which is a very interesting emotion to carry especially in a live setting. I commend these guys on their very creative track and urge you to check it out.
