Sanchez, Prok & Fitch Team Up For Take You There
Who: Roger Sanchez, Prok & Fitch
What: Take You There (3 Tracks)
Where: The United States, The United Kingdom
The original in the EP, Take You There, is a nice blend between the two artists featuring a very well done pumping bass line, with very appropriate percussive stabs. The vocals aren’t too imaginative, but aren’t in the foreground and obviously were not meant to define the track. It’s energetic, it’s fun, and its got that classic sound classic. A great listen.
Prok & Fitch’s Floorplay Remix is a bit more progressive with its ambient pads, but I especially enjoy the bass line in this track as it lives somewhere between being the most prominent part of the song, and staying underneath the track’s other more prominent instruments. It’s something that you can only feel which is why it’s necessary to play this track through a nice subwoofer.
Finally, the Dub Mix is a bit more minimalistic, but is also a great version of the track. It doesn’t do much different from the original so there isn’t too much more to say about it, but it builds quite well and has the same great drop.
