Tripwire’s Collection Of Lost Dubs is a groovy, soulful collection of deep house tracks that I absolutely can’t get enough of. From the tribal beat, and deep, grimy bass underneath of Ghetto Soul, to the classic, stabbing organs of On The River, there is something here for every dance music fanatic. Each beat is complex down to the very tone of the claps that may occur on various beats, or may be so far underneath other instruments that you can’t tell until you really get deep into the music. Each bass line is produced so well that removing everything but the drums and the bass would leave a bare-bones yet wonderfully groovy piece of music that anyone could get down to. Take, for example, The Beat Pharmacy Reshape of Jupiter Modulations and just how precise, yet thick the bass is. It has that classic house sound, but is also percussive and driving enough to make the song move forward on its own. All in all, this EP is very out-there, but is so wonderful in how easily it makes people dance. If you’re a fan of that detroit sound, check this out.
