Perfect Thing is a throwback to that 80s dance sound most people get nostalgic about, and some people get physically bothered by. Now, I am one of those people that thinks the 80s were a horrible time for music, especially popular music (the safety dance? come on). But Perfect Thing took me by surprise by how much I liked it. The bass line is very 80s, but works perfectly well in the deep house feel of the track. Also, the affected vocals the track features are soulful and groovy like I wouldn’t have expected. The beat also grooves hard which is a nice addition, with the high hat clanging on 2 and 4 like any good 80s beat. Check it out!
