Afrojack Talks About “Give Me Everything”
Who: Afrojack
What: Give Me Everything
Where: Spijkenisse, Netherlands
In a recent interview with UK’s The Independent, Afrojack explained how his massive crossover collabo with Pitbull and Ne-Yo, “Give Me Everything”, came to be.
‘Pitbull liked my music and invited me to his studio and I played him some stuff I made with him in mind. I played him the Everything Tonight instrumental and he was like “This is going to be the one.” So we started working on it for four or five hours,” said Afrojack.
‘Two or three weeks later I got an email from my manager going upside down in circles saying: “This is going to be huge.” The first time I listened to it, I was like “Wow, it sounds like an actual pop song”, I’d never made a pop song before as I’m a dance producer. I was thinking for a long time, “should I put my name on it or not? I made it and I wrote it, but isn’t it too poppy?” But in the end I was like “I made it, I like it.”’
