Bon Iver’s Woods has been remixed before by the likes Kanye West as well as others, and for good reason! Bon Iver’s original is incredible. The vocals, beautiful. The effects, perfect. The song in its entirety is very powerful. Zeds Dead keeps the ambient feel of the original but adds an electronic twist to it. I love that they were able to make such an incredible track while staying so very loyal to the original vocals. And what a choice of accompaniment too! The bleeps, bloops, and bass go surprisingly well with Bon’s vocals. Zeds version stays very relaxed and minimalistic, but still carries a lot of power with it.
