Pieces Of Light is your standard progressive fare. It has everything you’ve come to expect from a progressive track with a half-brained vocal melody, followed by a large synth-tastic drop. It doesn’t do anything different or unique, it delivers progressive house with the same kind of musical innovation and subtlety as Kenny G. But, if you like progressive you’ll enjoy this release. To be fair, it is produced well and Jonny Rose’s voice accompanies the stylings of Dimitri and Wyman well also. Not only that, but the background chords have a very nice tone to them. Light and airy, but they are articulated quite well. It just seems like progressive producers are getting a bit too comfortable in their format and tracks are becoming a bit tedious. As always, decide for yourself and give it a chance. You may like it.
