Peo De Pitte, Nom De Strip Team Up For Big Knobbler
Who: Peo De Pitte, Nom De Strip
What: Peo De Pitte, Nom De Strip – Big Knobbler (Original Mix) and Suplex (Original Mix)
Where: Sweden, Scotland
Big Knobbler is crazy. Peo and Nom have taken that grinding electro house sound and refined it into a much cleaner, yet at the same time much grimier noise. It isn’t as muddy as recent electro house pieces, but it’s lower and layered very interestingly to make it sound very unique. When Big Knobbler drops, the rhythmic stylings of the melody matches incredibly well with the drums and bass in the background and is one that would make a club go wild. Suplex, while also an insane song, uses the womps and the wahs one would usually hear in dubstep but at a faster pace and with flangers in the background. While they are an interesting use of the sounds, they seem a bit rushed and out-of-place. Suplex also leans towards the progressive side of electro with its melodic breaks and, especially at the second break, the producer pulls it off very well with the piano chords in the background adding a bit more emotion to the track.
