The Nu Disco genre is getting much bigger and for a good reason. There is something undeniably fun and uplifting about disco music and frankly it ties in perfectly with the EDM genre. Solidisco’s style is much more authentic to the disco sound from the 70s, yet they manage to merge it perfectly with music of today. The bass line is funky, the vocals are repetitive but in a good way, and most of all the drum beat is very interesting. It takes the bass to high-hat we know and adds in an eclectic drum fill using what sounds like congos which is an interesting move and provides the song with a certain refreshing oddness in its rhythm. The Synths stay true to their melodic, now 40 year old counterparts, and all in all the song is produced very well. Give it a listen!
