Coming out of the Indie Dance/Nu Disco genre, Tensnake’s remix of How Long is a laid back take on Sugardaddy’s more disco-loyal original. Tensnake takes the disco-feel and turns it a bit more electronic but in a way that is behind the beat by a few nano-seconds which makes it groove so much harder. Combine that with a funky and perfectly mastered bass line, a rhythmically interesting melody that is almost unexpected from a Nu Disco track, and the continuous combination of synths and whispery vocals from the original, and Tensnake’s remix shines. Another key part of the track is the drum beat that has a slightly caribbean feel to it but only adds to the tracks intriguing nature and shows just how diverse of a producer Tensnake can be.
